Types of Remy Human Hair Wigs and Toppers:

Full Lace/Hand-Tied Wigs & Toppers:
Full lace wigs are made entirely out of a lightweight, breathable base. Remy human hair is hand-tied into each perforation of the base, 1-2 hairs at a time. Because of these perforations, lace bases tend to be quite transparent and are therefore perfect for those with no natural hair of their own, ie chemotherapy and alopecia totalis clients. The tiny knots formed by hand-tying each hair can also be made invisible, making the lace base have the appearance of natural scalp. These types of bases are suitable for both occasional and daily use, and can be installed temporarily by 'removable fit' or 'clip-on attachment'. They can also be installed semi-permanently by 'track-based' attachment. Full lace wigs can also be combined with poly/skin closures, silk-base closures and monofilament closures, and are available in European, Asian, Indian, Brazilian and other curly-textured grades of hair.

Lace Front Wigs & Toppers:
Lace-front wigs and toppers share the same construction as full lace/hand-tied wigs, in the front hairline and parting portion of the crown. They differ from full lace wigs and toppers by having wefts sewn into the back and side portions. At Pacific Hair, we use only micro-weft construction for our lace-front wigs.These ultra-thin wefts are woven into a breathable technical material, allowing for an airy feel and flat-to the head fit. Due to having a combination of lace and wefts, lace-front wigs are very durable, and  perfect for those with a more active lifestyle.
Silk Base Wigs & Toppers:
Silk base wigs and toppers are currently the most popular base option we sell due to how closely they resemble natural hair and scalp.  This option is optimal if you still retain some of your natural hair, as your hair will not be visible through the base. Silk bases are constructed by injecting Remy human hair into a thin silk material. The process of injection resembles single hairs protruding from individual follicles, while the silk duplicates the texture and color of scalp.

Grades of hair:
Although there appear to be several grades of human hair available on the market, There really are only 4 basic groupings. These include European hair, Asian hair, Indian hair and curly-textured grades which mimic Afro hair. Brazilian hair, which has remained a, consistent favorite, is actually one of these afore-mentioned grades that has been chemically altered or steam-processed into a specific curl pattern. One thing is certain, choosing the right grade of hair is integral for the overall look and general care of your wig. 
 
Asian hair:
The Asian hair grade generally includes Chinese, Filipino and Mongolian groupings. Typically available in natural off-black to dark brown ranges of color, Asian hair tends to have thicker, denser cuticles thus making for hairpieces with great durability and longevity. They can be colored to beautiful spectrums of browns, reds and dark blondes. Coloring to lighter blondes can be more of a challenge depending on how dense the strands are.

Brazilian hair:
Brazilian hair has proved to be an incredibly popular grade of hair within the past couple of years. With Brazilian hair, you can expect to find varying textures such as straight, wavy and curly. Many wearers enjoy this grade as it's possible to get closer to finer textures similar to European with a bit of added coarseness. Brazilian hair will typically be off-black to dark brown in color, though can be color processed to anything.

European hair:
European hair is the most sought after grade of hair in the Remy human hair wig, hairpiece and hair extensions world. European hair boasts fine and silky smooth textures that are harvested from dark brown all the way up to sandy brown. Due to this fact, many wearers will generally keep its original colour without much or any colour processing at all. Did you know only 2% of the world's population is naturally blonde? Due to this, it is incredibly rare and almost impossible to obtain true Remy Virgin blonde human hair, especially long enough to create a wig. That said, European hair is the best grade to process to any blonde colour as, after processing, it remains silky smooth. As a result of true European hair being the rarest of all grades of hair, this will tend to be the highest cost of all of the options. If you are looking for a wig that is incredibly low maintenance and that matches the fine hair you have or used to have, European is for you!

Texture
Varying textures are available within grades of hair including straight, slight wave, body wave and ringlet curl. If it is your first experience with a human hair wig, it is recommended that you choose a texture that you currently have or have had in the past. If you're looking for a texture that requires little to no styling maintenance, it's highly recommended to opt for a straight or slight wave texture.

Length
Like any other feature, the length is important to choose one that you currently have or have had in the past, as this will help for manageability, care and style. Remy human hair wigs are available in lengths from 14'' to 28'' and can be cut/texturized into a style that can suit your face.

Colour
Pacific has a team of technicians that complete custom colour matching in house. Any colour that you can possibly think of, including various colour application techniques (ombre, balayage, highlights etc.) can also be achieved with your Remy human hair wig. Many clients often like to bring in photos they've found in magazines, Google or Pinterest for us to match.
Care/Styling

Caring for Remy human hair wigs is incredibly easy! With everyday use, you'll only need to wash it as little as once every 7-10 days. As the follicles aren't directly attached to your scalp, you won't find that it will get oily or greasy as your own scalp/hair may be. Upon washing, you'll simply need to fill a sink with lukewarm water and shampoo in a downwards motion. Rinse, apply conditioner and leave in for 10 minutes for a deep condition. It is always best to brush through your wig when there is conditioner in it, working through from the ends to the roots gently and rinse out. At this time you may place your wig on a Styrofoam or mannequin head and blow-dry, then style with a flat iron, curling iron or other hot tools.  The great thing about styling your wig is that you only have to do it once every seven to ten days. As you aren't sleeping or showering with it on, you'll find it will keep its style with minimum weekly touch-ups.
